Yesterday as I was walking to our Kia to drive home and I walked by three cars in the church parking lot. All three cars had our "I Follow the Son" license plate frame. It was so cool to walk by those other cars and see we all believed the same thing. We are all trying to follow the Master of the Universe, Jesus.
Not only was it great to see those cars with the same symbol, but it was comforting to know that I am not alone. When we walk the road following the Son it can get down right difficult and it is wonderful to know there are others out there walking that same road.
The third thing that was so great is that the owners of those cars weren't strangers. The owners of those cars were friends, traveling companions, with whom I had a relationship. They were people with whom I could share my joys and my concerns. It is one thing to be in the same boat together it is another to be encouraging one another, and challenging one another, to keep following.
