College

So we are finishing up on the final choice for our daughter to go to college. We would really like her to go to Whitworth, in Spokane, WA, but four of our family of five have gone there and she wants some place different. Plus it is cold there.
The only one in the family born in Iowa and lived there for sixteen years so she wants warm weather.
Oregon was a possibility. Even Southern Oregon University. It is in Ashland, where the Shakespeare Festival is, and Joan's Dad lives in Medford. It is further south than Washington and a very attractive place to visit. Yet the day we went to visit, last week, it was not only cold but the snow from the week before was still on the hills, this was not a good sign for our daughter.
She did say maybe a transfer later was a possibility, but for now it is Orange, California, here she comes.
So no matter what you hope might happen we know that perhaps it was better for the cold to be there so she would know how cold it gets.
Oh, well I guess we will learn the freeways in LA for the next four years. We will just have to trust God a little more, not a bad thing.
