Dublin Walk

So, today while our Kia was getting the oil changed, I walked over to the Hope Hospice Thirft store. On the way I saw one of our members taking her daughter to school. One thing both Joan and I find is that when we are shopping or walking in Dublin we eventually see someone we know, from church or other places.
I felt a real peace about our plans to move to Dublin later this summer. We haven't made the firm commitment yet, but it looks more likely that it will happen. I hear increasingly, in my heart as well as in my reading, the benefits of living in the city in which you do ministry. Since our church serves multiple communities, I think it is best to be in the city in which the church is placed.
The church is somewhat secluded on the west side of Dublin, but that just means we need to do more to increase our profile. I think our softball team can be a real testament that we are part of this town and want to be contributing members of this community.
As our family changes the location of our residence in the next couple months, I look forward to seeing more people and getting more involved in the landscape to which God has called us.

Enjoy the breeze while it is blowing.
