Wheebarrows are great. This last month I have been excavating a 12 X 14 foot hole. I am trying to put a paver patio in on the west side of the house. It would be right next to the raised bed garden area. It seemed a good idea at the time, about four weeks ago. I have been hauling the dirt out of the back yard by using the green waste roller can. It fills up pretty quickly and rolls pretty well, but I have to turn the can upside down and then empty it by lifting the axle. It is not easy.
Joan suggested I look for a wheelbarrow, which I found. I borrowed it for a week and the month long excavation shorten considerably. I have always known that using the right tool for the job makes a difference, but this was energizing for me. I am ready to haul in some rock now for a base and then sand and pipes for drainage. Maybe by Christmas I will have this done but without the wheelbarrow it probably would have been Easter. So if you ever need to haul dirt get a wheelbarrow, but if you need to be forgiven call on Jesus.
We can never remove all that we need to by ourselves, even if we have the muscle, desire, and will to do it. We will always find more things to remove. Yet in regards to our sin Jesus is like an automatic wheelbarrow. Not only will he pick up the dirt, he will remove the dirt, and then come back for more, when ever needed. He never gets tired of coming back to do it all over again. Of course as we grow more like the people he has called us to be there will be less dirt to remove, so keep reading the Book, Praying your prayers, and seeking encouragement in your faith community.
Thank God for Jesus, and wheelbarrows,
Life is such a blessing,
Pastor Randy
